Geographical survey of electronic communications networks

What is a geographical survey of electronic communications networks deployment?
This geographical survey corresponds to the current cartographic documentation of the infrastructure of electronic communications networks and allows a visualisation of mobile and fixed network coverage per area (municipality, address, grid: 1km x 1km or 100mx100m), by technology and by operator.
What is the accuracy of this survey?
The data illustrated on the map is based on theoretical calculations made by the operators. A discrepancy between the data represented on the map and the real individual values measured by tools like checkmynet.lu is therefore possible.
What can I do if the data represented on the map is not up to date?
All operators are constantly investing in the deployment of their networks. Therefore, it is possible that the maps do not reflect the latest developments. Further information can be obtained by contacting the ILR at releve-geo-resaux@ilr.lu or the network operator.
How can I contact the ILR for further information about this FAQ and/or the map(s)?
For questions or comments, please send an email to releve-geo-reseaux@ilr.lu.
How is the « achievable speed » defined?
The « achievable speed » is based on the categories defined in following table:
1000: ≥ 1 Gbps |
Example: The category « achievable speed » of 1000 represents a download speed of at least 1 Gbps. |
300 : ≥ 300 Mbps, < 1 Gbps | |
100 : ≥ 100 Mbps, < 300 Mbps | |
30 : ≥ 30 Mbps, < 100 Mbps | |
10 : ≥ 10 Mbps, < 30 Mbps | |
2 : ≥ 2 Mbps , < 10 Mbps |
